Super Cute!

The Party Boy's Guide to Dating a Geek - Piper Vaughn, Xara X. Xanakas

This book was just adorable. I admit, it took me a while to get into it, but that was more for personal reasons, than for any problems with the book itself.

In this book we meet Ash, a flighty but nice guy, who lives to party, drink, and sleep around. Until the day that he meets Fee, who leaves him gobsmacked. Fee is a geek, yes, but he is a HOT geek. A hot geek who seems totally determined not to give Ash the time of day, which only seems to make him hotter to Ash, and so the chase, it is on!

It did take me a bit to warm up to Fee. The story is told entirely from Ash's perspective, and while Ash meets Fee fairly early in the book, we then go through a fairly long period of Ash trying to meet back up with Fee, only to have Fee give him a major brush off.

Combine the ignored phone calls and emails, the cold behavior when Ash seeks him out, and not being able to see into Fee's head at all, I just couldn't find much to like about him at first, especially considering Fee himself didn't have much page time during the first quarter of the book or so, it was all Ash.

But once Fee did decide to give Ash a chance, I got it. I got why he was shy and a bit withdrawn, and I got why he tried so hard to hold Ash at arm's length.

I loved watching Ash realize that his life as a party boy wasn't satisfying anymore, and I loved watching Fee realize that Ash was so much more than that party boy.

A very satisfying read, and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series, hopefully, it'll be about either Donovan or Ty. Or maybe Donovan AND Ty!
