The things I didn't like:The time skips. KA is known for skipping around time wise, going way forward, then "filling in the blanks", but I don't remember it being so blatant, with all the "three months later, 4 weeks later, etc etc" at the beginning of each chapter. Also, it seemed like every time she did her fill in, this went on so long that by the time she was back to "now", I was lost and couldn't remember what was going on "now". I'd have to flip back to see who she was talking to and about what.The speech. I know, KA has her own way of having people talk, but it's starting to wear on me. I think I didn't notice it so much before because I read most of what I read back to back, and now I have a bit of distance. Her men are all men of few words, and I get that, but they are all men of the SAME FEW WORDS. "you feel me". "I gave her that play". The way they all say "beautiful" all the freaking time. And usually the women have their own voice, but Tabby just sounded like the guys to me. I know it's cause she was raised in the biker world, but it kinda bugged me anyway.Sooo many "moments". I love reading about that special moment a character has, when they realize "this is it". That this is the relationship, the love they have been waiting for. But OTW had so many of these "moments". Every chapter seemed to have one or the other character just stopping and thinking about how awesome things are. It felt like all the "endings" in the last Lord of the Rings movie. We get it, you're happy, you're in love, everything is roses and puppies, enough already with the moments.But the things I loved: Shy. I really loved this guy. He was hard, but he was also sweet and sexy and fairly quick to act on things to make things better. Well, other than not telling her he loved her for 4 years.Tack. Come on, there can never be too much Tack Allen.Tabby. I mostly enjoyed Tab a lot. Yes, she spent a year hiding from what she felt for Shy, but I got it. She had just experienced a HUGE loss, she wasn't ready for something new, she felt guilty for feeling happy again, and most of all, she just didn't think Shy could look at her that way.The sex was hot. I know, KA said that her Unfinished Heroes series was supposed to be "hotter" and naughtier, but really, I find the sex in her other series much hotter. I don't need spankings and "daddy", just because that's popular right now.I'm ready for a non-biker book, to see if maybe the language is a bit easier on me. I also REALLY hope we get Elvira and Malik's story. All the times we've seen Elvira, she hasn't had a man, and has talked about the other women and their badasses, now Elvira has her own badass, and I want that story! Has anyone heard if that is in the pipeline?
