This was just kinda meh for me. Stiles was tired of being taken for granted by the Pack, so he leaves town without telling anyone but his dad. He's gone for a MONTH before anyone notices. He stays gone for 8 years, only coming home when his dad is injured. Stays for a bit, helps out the pack, leaves again, before finally coming home for good and gets together with Derek.

The story is told in a bit of a "then and now" type of way, but it all felt more like a telling, not a showing. The now bits were good enough, but the then bits just didn't really hold much interest to me.

Plus, fade to black sex. I hate fade to black. I'm better with a fic that has no sex at all than them having it but not showing it.
