So apparently soul bonds are a thing that people like the Sheriff, know about, but werewolves still live in the shadows. This is an almost total season 1 AU, where Stiles bonds himself to Derek to save his life after Kate shot him with her magic bullet. Derek tries to deny it, because he knows it won't be safe for Stiles, but in the end, it's too much for them both, and then we get some nice cute bond-y moments between the two.
